What is BaZi / Four Pillars of Destiny?

BaZi (八字) is a classical Chinese metaphysical system that maps your birth year, month, day, and hour into a four-pillar chart, revealing structural tendencies in character, career, relationships, wealth, and health. Jianzhao analyzes your BaZi using AI-assisted deep reasoning grounded in 17 classical texts, cross-validated with Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology) for higher-confidence insights.

What is Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology)?

Zi Wei Dou Shu is a separate millennium-old Chinese astrological system that constructs a 12-palace chart based on your birth data. Jianzhao uses it as a second analytical lens alongside BaZi. When both systems agree on a dimension (career, wealth, relationships, health, etc.), confidence is higher. Divergences are explicitly flagged rather than silently merged.

Can Jianzhao predict my future with certainty?

No. Jianzhao provides probabilistic tendency analysis based on classical methodology, not guaranteed predictions. The system identifies patterns, cycles, and structural tendencies — useful for self-awareness and decision-making. Every conclusion carries a confidence rating, and reasoning is traceable to specific classical texts. Absolute certainty claims are explicitly prohibited.

What is the difference between the Free Reading and the Deep Analysis?

The Free Reading generates a complete four-pillar chart, five-element distribution, ten-deity mapping, and a structural overview at no cost. The Deep Analysis goes further: AI applies a 15-step reasoning framework, integrates the Four Masters Voting Method, produces year-by-year major cycle analysis, runs BaZi–Zi Wei cross-validation across eight dimensions, and cites specific classical sources for every key conclusion.

What is the Four Masters Voting Method?

Different schools of Chinese astrology have different analytical frameworks. The Four Masters Voting Method synthesizes four modern classical scholars — Xu Lewu (chart patterns), Liang Xiangrun (three-track monthly rules), Yuan Shushan (life palace), and Wei Qianli (eight-step method) — and presents each school's perspective in parallel. When three or four schools agree, the conclusion is flagged as high-confidence consensus. Disagreements are labeled as minority warnings rather than hidden.

What if I am not sure about my exact birth time?

You can still proceed, but accuracy will be affected. The birth hour determines the hour pillar, which influences the start age of major cycles and the Zi Wei Dou Shu chart. When birth time is uncertain, mark it as approximate — the system will flag risk near hour boundaries and note reduced confidence in the report. You can re-generate the report after confirming the time.

Do you support the Chinese Lunar Calendar?

Yes. You can choose between the solar calendar (Gregorian) and the lunar calendar when entering birth information. The system automatically handles the conversion and calculation. Using the wrong calendar type produces a completely different chart, so confirm the correct calendar on your birth certificate before proceeding.

What is True Solar Time and why does Jianzhao correct for it?

True Solar Time is the astronomical local time derived from the longitude of your birthplace. It can differ from standard Beijing Time (UTC+8) by up to 30+ minutes. Since the exact hour determines the hour pillar and therefore the entire chart structure, Jianzhao automatically corrects for longitude offset, shows a before/after comparison, and warns when the birth time falls near a two-hour boundary.

Which classical texts and methodologies power the analysis?

Jianzhao is grounded in 17 public-domain classical texts (including Zi Ping Zhen Quan, Qiong Tong Bao Jian, Di Tian Sui), 9 methodology notes covering the Four Masters frameworks, and a knowledge graph of 45,000+ astrology entities. Every key conclusion can be traced back to a specific book, chapter, or knowledge graph source.

Is my birth data stored or shared?

Logged-in users' birth data is stored only in their own account and is not accessible to anyone else. System logs do not record complete birth information or report content. You can delete your profile and reports at any time — after deletion, no identifiable personal information is retained. Reports generated without logging in are temporary and not persisted.

Can destiny analysis replace doctors, lawyers, or therapists?

No. Jianzhao is an academic and self-awareness tool. It must not be used as the sole basis for medical diagnosis, legal advice, financial investment, or psychological treatment. Reports containing health, major life decision, or financial content include explicit professional-advice prompts. The value of astrology lies in recognizing patterns and cycles — not replacing specialist judgment.
